BIOSKETCH
Dr Yonela Qubekile graduated with her MBChB from Walter Sisulu University in 2010. She obtained a Fellowship of the College of Physicians of South Africa in 2020 and completed a Master of Medicine (Internal Medicine) at the University of KwaZulu-Natal in 2021. Dr Qubekile’s achievements have been recognized with several prestigious awards, including the Spirit Award at the Fellows Weekend in 2023 and the title of Best Hepatology Fellow in 2024. She also received the Gastro-foundation award for the best performance by a fellow at the South African Gastroenterology Society (SAGES) at the International Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary Association (IHPBA) World Congress.
