BIOSKETCH
Dr Bernadett Gosnell qualified in Germany in 1999 when she obtained her Medical degree and a Masters degree in Chemistry. She relocated to South Africa in 2001 and has worked at a number of different hospitals in and around Durban. From 2008 she has been working as a Principal Medical Officer in the Department of Infectious Diseases at the University of kwaZulu-Natal. Her area of research includes HIV drug resistance and sexually transmitted diseases, particularly aciclovir resistant herpes simplex ulcers and HPV infections leading to squamous cell carcinoma in males and females.
